ABOUT US

Saimavik: A Place of Peace and Resilience

At Saimavik, we believe that well-being should be accessible to everyone, everywhere. Our mission is to support the Northern community by providing Transformative Life Skills (TLS)—a trauma-informed approach to mental health that focuses on the fundamentals of movement, breathing, and centering.

Life in the north brings unique strengths and unique challenges. Through simple daily practices, we can learn to steady our minds and navigate our emotions. TLS tools are designed for everyone—anytime, anywhere. From the classroom to the kitchen table, these practices help build the focus and empathy needed to thrive.

By blending these evidence-based techniques with a deep respect for our culture and land, Saimavik serves as a digital sanctuary. We are here to help you build the coping skills needed for today while fostering the long-term resilience needed for tomorrow. Here, you are invited to pause, breathe, and grow.

    A Community-Driven Model

Saimavik is a non-profit initiative. We believe that financial barriers should never stand in the way of mental wellness. That is why our digital library is free for everyone. Our work is sustained through federal and territorial funding, alongside the support of individuals who purchase our physical materials. Every dollar from our printed collections goes directly back into developing new resources for the North.
